Enter Schedule

The Create Schedule Page is where you create staff schedules.
you can create a schedules for one week at a time, for as many week as you like.

  • Select Department: Here you select the department that you would like to create the schedule for.

  • Options: SkedX provides you with the following options
    • Starting From- click the calendar icon to select the date on which you would like to start creating your schedule. 
    • Sort By - You have the option to sort the schedule table either by seniority, name or wage.
    • Full-time first - If you click this option, the employees who work full time will appear first on the table.
    • Download as - You can download your schedule as a pdf or excel file for your records.
    • Copy Last Week's Schedule - If your schedule is the same as last week's, or only slightly different, you might want to copy last weeks schedule and modify it, instead of starting from scratch.

  • The Main Scheduling Table
    Availablity
    Employee availability is color-coded.
    -
    Green: available all day
    -
     Yellow: specified availability (click on sell to view the available time.)
    -
    Red: Unavailable

    Employee Details
    - When you click on a color-coded shift box, a window will appear above that shift detailing the employees name, wage and availability for that day.

    Positions
    If you would like to specify a position that you want your employee to work at on a specific shift, you can select it from the drop-down menu.

  • Budgeting Table
    At the bottom of the page, you are able to enter in your estimated sales for the day and see how much each day will roughly cost in employee salaries and how that relates to your daily and weekly sales.

  • Publish Schedule
    Once your schedule is ready to be sent out to your employees, click 'Publish Schedule'. This will send an email out to all the employees in this department with their updated schedule, and it will update their schedule in the View Schedule page.

Note: If you are not finished your schedule but are not ready to publish, your schedule is automatically saved as you type, and will be there the next time you log in.
