Employees who work two different locations or departments

With SkedX, you can easily schedule an employee to work in two different departments of your store within the same week. 

To add or remove departments, mouse over the green company tab and click “Manage Company.”

From there you will be directed to the manage company page where you can edit the organizational structure of your store.

To have an employee work in two departments, simply make the employee a secondary employee of the other department and they will then be available to be scheduled in both departments. 

Below we have made Cody Haight a secondary employee for the warehouse by dragging his name from the grocery department into the secondary employees for the grocery warehouse department.

To change departments within the enter schedule screen, mouse over the department box found at the top left and choose the desired department.

 

Now we can see that Cody Haight is able to be scheduled in the other department (warehouse.)

Also when making the schedule, you will be notified when trying to schedule an employee who is working in another department already.
